GeneralFlame Gasifier is a device that converts solid or liquid fuels into combustible gases. Its core principle involves the thermal decomposition of hydrocarbons in the fuel at high temperatures to produce combustible gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
Below is a detailed explanation of the gasifier's working principle and process:
Feeding System: Fuel (e.g., coal, biomass, or waste) enters the gasifier through the feed inlet. The feeding rate is typically controlled between 50-200 kg/h, depending on the furnace type and processing capacity.
Drying and Pyrolysis: Inside the furnace, the fuel first undergoes a drying stage (at about 150-300°C), where moisture evaporates, followed by the pyrolysis stage (at 300-600°C), where volatile matter is released, forming tar and primary gases.
Oxidation and Reduction Reactions: In the high-temperature zone (800-1200°C), a limited amount of air or oxygen is introduced. Part of the fuel burns to provide heat (oxidation reaction: C + O2 → CO2), while incompletely burned carbon reacts with CO2 and steam (reduction reactions: C + CO2 → 2CO; C + H2O → CO + H2), generating the main combustible gases (syngas).
Gas Purification: The syngas passes through equipment such as cyclones and scrubbers to remove ash, tar, and other impurities, ultimately outputting clean fuel gas (with a calorific value typically of 4-6 MJ/m³).
Application: GeneralFlame Gasifiers are widely used in chemical, metallurgical, and power generation industries, particularly suitable for processing biomass or industrial waste.
